The Munari is a black and white mobile made from 2 dimensional geometrical shapes. All the shapes and dowels are balanced off of a plastic ball which reflects the light. This mobile moves very slowly in the environment (just by natural air flow) which allows the child to observe it with great concentrated energy. The newborn is unable to see colour so the Munari is black and white in order to give the child the greatest contrast in shades. Also, as the newborn visually studies his or her environment, he or she picks up that objects are made from linear and curvilinear figures so the Munari offers these geometric shapes to the child.

MUNARI mobile is approx. 45 cm wide and 55 cm tall.
Plastic ball is 5 cm in diameter.
Glass ball is 6 cm in diameter.
Hand- painted wooden sticks with certified baby acrylic paints and polish made in Germany.
Hand- crafted paper cuts glued with non-toxic glue (not printed on a printer).
Each product is made with lots of love at a smoke free home.
* HANGING
There is a metal loop ring at the top of the frame for hanging which you can use to hang from a crib arm (not included) or from the ceiling. This does not include the crib arm.

This is not a toy, it is intended for decoration only and should be hung out of little ones reach.
It can include a personalized handwritten tag, if you would like to send it as a gift.

How fast will my order ship?
We usually ship within 2 days of your order, using GLS courier service across the EU. Each mobile passes through our own hands before it leaves our studio, so we pack carefully rather than rushing — but we know gifts often need to arrive by a certain date, so if you're ordering for a baby shower or a due date, feel free to reach out and we'll let you know what's realistic.
Is this mobile safe to hang over my baby's crib unsupervised?
Our mobiles are designed as beautiful, Montessori-inspired visual objects for your baby to focus on and enjoy during supervised awake time — not as an unsupervised nursery decoration or a toy meant to be touched, pulled, or chewed. That's why you'll see the note "not a toy, decoration only" on this page: it's a safety standard, not a downgrade. Like any hanging décor near a crib, it should only be up when a caregiver is present and should be removed once your baby can reach, grab, or pull themselves up.
How do I take care of my mobile?
Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth as needed, and keep it out of direct sunlight and away from damp or humid spots to protect the finish and the certified paint. Because it's handmade from natural materials, avoid soaking or scrubbing it with water.
Can I get this gift-wrapped, or add a personal note?
Yes — a personalized handwritten tag is available as an option before checkout, so it's ready to hand straight over at a baby shower or send directly to the parents-to-be.
Do you ship outside the EU?
Yes — we ship worldwide. Within the EU we use GLS courier service; for international orders outside the EU, we ship via our local post office.
